AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - The Auburn Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man missing since Thursday.

Owen S. Scarborough, age 44 of Auburn, last made contact with family and friends on Thursday, November 17. He is described as approximately 5'10" in height, 185 pounds, with brown hair (balding), and blue eyes.

Scarborough's nose shows signs of a previous break and he may have a beard or goatee (salt and pepper in color).

Scarborough is originally from Dallas, Texas, but has resided in Alabama (Jacksonville and Oxford) for the past five years to include the last six months in Auburn.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Scarborough is asked to contact the Auburn Police Division at (334) 501-3140 or anonymously by voice or text on the tip line at (334) 246-1391.

  2. I just checked Facebook, and there is nothing new. I was hoping for something to celebrate today---Scott's safe return---but still, after a week, nothing.

The local police said that they will spend today searching for him, skipping Thanksgiving and family to search.

    My heart just breaks...........

  3. I'm sorry but Scott is dead. His body was found on Thanksgiving in a woods not far from his apartment. He had been dead 48 hours at that point, per the coroner. No foul play is suspected, but an autopsy was being done this weekend. No results have been released yet.

Just posted on the "Help Find Scott Scarborough Page & Scott's own page on Facebook: "A Celebration of Scott Scarborough's Life is being tentatively planned for Saturday, December 3 in Plano for ALL FRIENDS AND ALUM of Scott's. His music, photography, poetry and humor will be celebrated. Details will be forthcoming. Please Join us!"
